Satellite and subsystem testing in RF-Chamber

Ground-site quality assurance for satellites and its subsystems is one of, if not the most, critical steps for satellite mission success. Dr. Andis has been doing this for more than 10 years in DLR (German Aerospace Agency) and Spire together for various SDR (Software Defined Radio) based payloads.

Services we offer:
1) Software design and review for automations to speed up satellite testing, including OTA (Over the Air) payload testing in RF-Chamber
2) Review of test observables for the payload module or satellite under test. E.g. analysis of quality concerns and converting that into measurable observables for RF-testing.
3) Programming interfaces to external instruments for test measurements, e.g. Rhode&Schwarz SMBV100A, FSW, RIGOL MSO 8000, LeCroy WaveSurfer 4000HD, which support python-VISA programming interfaces.

R&D for breakthrough propulsion systems in Space

Today's rocket propulsion technology relies on the Newtonian 2nd law formulated in 1686 applied in Goddard's rocket principle demonstrated in 1926. It is seeking innovation. Similarly to how a discovery of a transistor gave rise to building electronics, but the discovery of quantum mechanics brought it to the next level, some revolutionary technology is needed to help make space transportation simple, affordable and environmentally friendly.

Electro-Gravitics is a relatively new topic to physics and holds a great potential for improved transportation applications. R&D services offered in this direction:

Maritime industry automations and optimisations with VDES

It was 2002 when IMO issued a mandate for all Class A vessels to be equipped with AIS transponders for collision avoidance. It sprouted a huge industry on AIS data gathered over terrestrial and satellite networks. In 2020 ITU approved frequency allocation for VDES use, thus opening doors to a brand new communications technology standard for maritime. The technology holds a great potential to revolutionise ship to shore communication, supporting more automations and planning around the port activities. We bring 12 years of AIS + VDES industry experience, encouraged to collaborate towards maritime digitalisation.
